Kirsten Frieda, PhD

Kirsten Frieda is the Chief Executive Officer of Spatial Genomics, which she co-founded to bring spatial genomics technologies to the scientific community. She previously worked as a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group where she advised and developed strategies for top healthcare companies and nonprofits. Her projects included identifying pharmaceutical growth opportunities, performing go-to-market readiness diagnostics, and planning organizational restructuring efforts. Kirsten received a PhD in Biophysics from Stanford and completed postdoctoral research at the California Institute of Technology. She obtained her AB in Chemistry and Physics from Harvard.
